Acknowledgement Message Format

Here are some sample acknowledgement messages.

This message acknowledges an event from a script:

ack add_event 1234567 120 Rob acked this

1234567 is the acknowledgement ID.

120 is the amount in minutes of the TTL of the ack.

Rob acked this is an optional message.

 

This message signifies that an event has recovered. This type of message should only be sent by a BBDISPLAY server daemon:

ack rm_event www.bb4.com.disk

www.bb4.com.disk is the host/service combination that has recovered.

 

This message is used to create a tag file on BBDISPLAYs to enable a checkmark to be displayed in the web pages. This should be sent only by a BBPAGER server daemon:

ack addtag_event www.b4.com.disk robert@bb4.com 1234567 120 999999999 Rob acked this

www.bb4.com.disk is the host/service combination to be acknowledged.

robert@bb4.com is the recipient that is acking the event.

1234567 is the ack number.

120 length in minutes of the ack.

99999999 is the current time in integer format (seconds from epoch).

Rob acked this is an optional message.

 

This message removes an acknowledgement tag file that was created by an addtag_event message on a BBDISPLAY server:

ack rmtag_event www.bb4.com.disk

www.bb4.com.disk is the host/service combination to remove.
